Hi, I am brand new to the forum and a DSLR beginner, can anyone suggest any books that will help me learn the basics?Welcome Flora :) I am still a newbie myself, and still learning. I have read a few books on photography, and have found a couple that have helped me out. One is the "National Geographic: The Ultimate Field Guide to Photography" and the other ones are the books in the "Photo Workshop" series (they have books on composition, lighting, macro, children, exposure, portraits). hey all...am on day 42 of my cycle...and did a hpt ((which has two windows..circle one for control line which shows if the test has worked or not and square one for test line....positive if both vertical lines appear and negative if there is only a single line in the control window)) as soon as i tested the test line appeared dark vertical line but the control line took a few seconds to appear...but it came up...and after a min it was a bit dark but not as dark as the test line.....(all this within the said limit of time abt 5 min)....so i got a bit confused....can u all tell if this really is positive pregnancy test...ohh i do hope so... :)) From what I have read if there is ANY line, it is positve. if you guys could please help me out.. I have animated button inside movie clip. On rollover, button zooms in and rotates. It even swaps depths (that took me a while). I recently bought a old Mail Pouch Tobacco thermometer that someone had painted over at one time. I have no idea why , it appears to be white houspaint. Im curious if I can remove the top layer of paint without damaging the original finish on the metal. I have no problem with these types of people for I strongly enforce quality as well as safety and clean up throughout all my jobs. Hello! I'm having this problem with XBMC : I have some video with srt subtitles on a file server. The subtitles doesn't appear on the video when the files are on the server but do appear when they're on the XBOX local drive. What is more strange is that when I convert the srt to sub and back from sub to srt I'm able to display the subtitles over the LAN. Okay, I know basically nothing about servers and databases. Starting about two months ago, my database started going down about once every other day. When it does, I email my host, and they do something (restart mysql,i think), and it comes back up. I was having a discussion with Helghallen via ht-mail about our current crop of trainees, most of are highly touted ones are about to or have hit formidable. We also both have players that could be making apperances for U-20 teams in the future. During this conversation, we also brought up a player being sold by Mark, that was an outstanding PM, and he had trouble getting him to sell for over $1 million. This brings me to my point. Are we seeing the collapse of the PM market? Prices seem to be down all around for PM's as a whole it seems. Hi, I've been in sales & marketing for 9 plus years. No unless you land with a successful long standing company, sales is NOT a longterm solution to a career. Ok...so I have my first little wedding gig on April 16th..nothing huge..the bride wants a few formals and mostly candids, and she's not too picky (which is good, since this is my first wedding!)...my big dilemma is this..I have no clue what to charge!!! These are repeat customers..I already did the bride's 2 year old's portraits, and they want me to do more once it's warm outside. I've been told that the cheapest wedding photographer around charges $300 just to show up and take the pictures, then he charges per picture ordered. So...since he's the cheapest pro around, and I have no experience at this yet at all...would $150 plus the price of prints be too much to ask? Or should I do only $100? My period is just about finished, i just have a little bit of spotting so im not sure if this is what is causing my pain. On the lower right sid eof my abdomen i have a burning feeling, its about an inch under my belly button. Its not an excruciating pain, just annoying and it gets worse cos im thinking about it. This is a very exciting event for me here in Denton County Texas. This will be the first ice storm I ever get to see and according to recent reports we may see as much as 1" glaze accumulation. Here are some shots my wife took this afternoon as freezing rain fell in Frisco and crystalized on the trees.
